Former Rolls Royce building transformed into community hub thanks to Crabtree solutions

April 9th 2018

The Project

A significant building project to transform Marble Hall into a community hub for Osmaston, including a nursery, day-care centre, health services, café and offices.

The Brief

  • Provide power, data and telecom services to the new Marble Hall complex
  • Deliver a clean, crisp finish throughout the building, with trouble-free and reliable control
  • Consider the unique character of Marble Hall – a prestigious and important historical building

The Crabtree Solution

Streamlined installation

In order to reduce installation time, we delivered bespoke factory built single pole distribution boards for use throughout the site, which were metered on their outgoing ways.

Completely connected

The offices were fitted with MAXPAK PVC cable management trunking systems to provide power, data and telecom services neatly and effectively throughout the office areas.

The trunking was chosen for its ease of installation and because it had 30% extra cable carrying capacity. MAXPAK three compartment trunking is suited to data cabling from Cat 5E to Catt 7 installations.

The centre compartment contains power cabling and provides ample space for wiring accessories such as sockets and other needs including data networks, telecoms & local switching

Bespoke accessories

Crabtree accessories were used throughout the building – from offices to kitchen areas. We also installed prestigious bronze-faced wiring accessories in the main public area.

Future-proof metering

We provided a flexible metering solution that could be tailored to suit the specific requirements of the client and their individual tenants.
