Electrium’s journey towards Net-zero

1. Heating
For more than a year both sites: Sharston Rd. in Manchester and our
distribution centre in Hindley Green, have had biomass heating installed.

Both plants use woodchips for heating instead of natural gas. These woodchips are
from a sustainable source and provide more than 90% of the annual heat required.

As we consider more natural growing resources, we become more climate neutral.

Total savings together are about 700t CO2 per year.

2. Electric Power
Both sites have a solar energy installation, which provides about 15% of their annual electric power requirement.
