Size Matters Temp Image

Size matters, so does performance. Especially for protective devices like RCBOs, AFDDs, SPDs & MCBs.

Instead of overly tall RCBOs, too wide SPDs and multi module AFDDs imagine how easy installations would be if all of these devices were the same miniaturised size and how users would benefit from the added bonus of higher performance & safety standards too!

Well, that time has come.

Wylex have a range of miniature protective devices that deliver those higher performance standards without using up all of that valuable space in the consumer unit.

Miniature SPDs

The Wylex miniature SPD is the same size as an MCB, it only uses one way in the consumer unit, it connects directly to the busbar in the same way as an MCB, and It’s fully rated to 100A so it doesn’t need a back up MCB or Fuse.

There’s no need for any special wiring or assemblies and with only 2 wires to connect it’s very easy to install into standard Wylex NH Consumer Units. Smaller device, higher performance.

Miniature RCBOs

Wylex miniature RCBOs are the same size as an MCB.

Not taller, not wider but it is a two-pole switching device and totally isolates electrical faults and provides a safer environment for householders and maintenance staff in the event of a fault.

Miniature RCBOs use Type A RCD technology with either B or C Curve MCB characteristics. Smaller device, higher performance.

Miniature AFDDs

Wylex miniature AFDDs are the same size as an MCB. Not taller. Not wider.

With Wylex Miniature AFDDs there’s no need for any special wiring or switchgear assemblies. Miniature AFDDs connect directly to the busbar and are very easy to install into standard Wylex NH Consumer Units.

Miniature AFDDs provide additional protection against electrical fires caused by arcing in final 230V AC circuits and are suitable for radial & ring circuits, the technology detects & disconnects serial & parallel arc faults to prevent electrical fires.

Miniature AFDDs include 3 protective technologies to provide several layers of protection for people & property. MCB technology (B or C Curve), Type A RCD technology, & AFDD technology.

These devices are two-pole switching devices that totally isolate electrical faults. Smaller device, higher performance.

Miniature Circuit Breakers

Miniature Circuit Breakers have been around for a long time and are a standard size, but only Wylex offers a range of Miniature devices that are all the same size as an MCB and that are as easy to install as an MCB.

Wylex have done away with the need for special assemblies & layouts. Wylex have done away with the need for larger consumer units & enclosures. Wylex Miniature devices, truly deliver higher performance.
